Start with a complete document
Identify the language, title, head and body. Explain which parts appear in the page and which describe it.
Give the content a readable outline
Write one main heading and two sections. Choose heading levels by structure, not their default size.
Give each region a purpose
Mark the main content. Explain when navigation and a footer would be useful.
Connect the page to something useful
Add one internal link and predict its destination before following it.
Make an image understandable
Use an image you own or may use. Explain whether it needs descriptive or empty alternative text.
Bring the pieces together
Read the complete profile example. Change its fictional content and explain every element you keep.
Your final task
Build a short introduction to a place, hobby or project. Include two content sections, one image and two meaningful links. Use your own wording and an image you have permission to use.
Check your understanding
- Explain the title, language and main heading without reading a tutorial.
- Follow every link and compare each filename exactly.
- Read the page without its image: does the essential meaning remain?
- Navigate using Tab and check the page in a narrow window.
Using AI along the way
You may ask an AI tool to explain a line or suggest an alternative. Then predict the result, inspect the output and test it yourself. Do not treat a confident answer as proof. This project was itself developed with substantial AI assistance: read the transparent account and Mario’s web journey.
